excavations begin

This is a place like no other...
the haunted floor of the library... (I haven't had a pleasure of encountering a ghost yet though)
rows of shelves and this delightful smell of an old paper and dust, that brings memories of my grandparents cluttered attic, or other wonderful book filled places.
It's time to explore!

a lousy experience with... lice

can you imagine anything more embarrassing than having lice? well, it just had happened to me. I am still not sure how did I caught them? maybe while trying a hat at Winners? on a subway? on a bus? yikes and ugh, but oh well, it's nearly all over now.

this experience definitely had taught me a valuable lesson: living in a total denial can happen to anyone. Can you imagine? I had lice for more than a month, but I used any possible alternative explanation to avoid the obvious. Lice in the 21 century?? absolutely impossible!

so, I thought it was an allergic reaction to any possible thing that came to mind: chloride in a swimming pool, an instant noddle soup which I consumed a lot lately, even... beer. yes. And I was just waiting until this terrible itch will go away by itself, while these tiny beast were feasting on my blood!!!! Not such luck of course.

but I caught a lucky break - and literary - one of these creatures - to face the unavoidable - it's them after all. ugh ugh and ugh. I run to the pharmacy for some kind of a cure...
